* Upgrades to the Station Creek Bridge and Boyne River Bridge on the Bruce Highway near Benaraby are now complete.
* The project improves safety and reliability for motorists and freight operators on the Bruce Highway near Benaraby.
* The upgrades were jointlyfundedby theAlbaneseandCrisafulliGovernments as part of the Bruce Highway Upgrade Program.
* This investment deliverssafer and more reliable journeys for thosetravelling through Central Queensland.
The Albanese and CrisafulliGovernmentshavereachedanother milestoneindelivering a betterBruce Highway, withmajorupgrades now complete on two bridges near Benaraby, south of Gladstone.
The Station Creek and Boyne River bridges underwent critical upgrades to improve safety as part of thejointly funded Bruce Highway Upgrade Program.
The works included concrete and steel repairs, cracked deckrepairsand barrier repairs to improve the structural integrity of the bridges.
The works were jointly funded, with theAlbaneseGovernment contributing $11.04 million and theCrisafulliGovernment contributing $2.76 million.
The works are being delivered as part of a historic $9 billion jointly funded Bruce Highway investment to boostsafety for the spine of the State, gettingQueenslandershome sooner and safer.
Federal Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government Catherine King said the completion of the Station Creek and Boyne River bridge upgradeswasa significant milestone for Central Queensland.
"Completionof the Station Creek and Boyne River bridge upgrades is great news for Central Queensland," Minister King said.
"The Australian Government is proud to partner with the Queensland Government to deliver important safety improvements on the Bruce Highway."
Queensland Minister for Transport and Main Roads Brent Mickelberg said theCrisafulli Government was delivering generational infrastructure to getQueenslandershome sooner and safer in Central Queensland.
"The Crisafulli Government is getting on with the job of deliveringa better Bruce Highwayafter we secured this80:20 fundingdealwith a historic $9 billion investment," Minister Mickelberg said.
"This is about boosting safety on the Bruceand worksare already making a real difference for motorists, regional communities and freight operators between Gympie and Cairns, with much more to come."
Assistant Minister for Regional Development and Senator for Queensland Anthony Chisholmsaid theAlbanese Government made a commitment to Queenslanders to build a better Bruce.
"Completing these bridge upgrades at Station Creek and Boyne River near Gladstone means safer and more dependable journeys for locals, tourists and our hard-working truckies," Assistant Minister Chisholm said.
"This has been a vital investment in strengthening the Bruce and delivering safer and more efficient travel through this part of Central Queensland."
QueenslandMember forCallide Bryson Headsaidit wasgreat to see works completed along Queensland's most significant transport corridor.
"Finallythe Bruce Highway is getting theinvestment it needs and deserves,under the 80:20 fundingdeal,"MrHeadsaid.
