* The Crisafulli Government has delivered on a key election commitment with a new public toilet installed at Aplins Weir Park, replace aging infrastructure. * Anadditional amenities block was delivered at Riverside Green within the funding allocation. * The project received $750,000 in funding and was completed in partnership with Townsville City Council. * TheCrisafulli Government is delivering better services through a stronger economy after a decade of decline under Labor.

The Crisafulli Government is delivering on a key election commitment with new amenities and associated infrastructure at Aplins Weir Park, while also funding an additional amenities block at Riverside Green in North Queensland.

A new toilet was installed at Aplins Weir Park in Mundingburra to the relief of community members and park runners, replacing an ageing facility at the popular park.

The recently upgraded Riverside Green Park in Douglas also received new amenities, allowing the community to be able to stay and play for longer.

While the former Labor Government failed to deliver these much-needed upgrades, the Crisafulli Government made a commitment to the community and has delivered.

The Crisafulli Government is delivering better services through a stronger economy and committed $750,000 to the project, improving local facilities and helping make Mundingburra an even better place to live, work and raise a family.

While the original commitment was for new amenities at Aplins Weir Park, the project has delivered even more for the community, with funding stretching far enough to deliver a second new amenities block at Riverside Green too.

Minister for Local Government and Water Ann Leahy said the project was another example of the Crisafulli Government delivering on its key election commitments and backing local communities.

"We're delivering for North Queensland by partnering with council to provide the infrastructure this community needs, making Mundingburra an even better place to call home," Minister Leahy said.

"By working closely with Townsville City Council, we've maximised the available funding to deliver new amenities at both Aplins Weir Park and Riverside Green, providing modern, accessible facilities for residents and visitors to enjoy for years to come."

Member for Mundingburra Janelle Poole APM said delivering improved amenities at Aplins Weir Park was an important commitment to local families and park users.

"I committed to delivering improved amenities at Aplins Weir Park, and it's fantastic to see that commitment honoured while also delivering new facilities at Riverside Green," Ms Poole said.

"These parks are important gathering places for local families, walkers, runners and visitors, and these upgrades will help ensure they remain welcoming, accessible spaces for the whole community to enjoy. We promised to respect your money, and we delivered two toilet blocks for the price of one."

Townsville Deputy Mayor Cr Suzy Batkovic said the funding was vital to providing the community with clean, safe and accessible amenities for the whole community to enjoy.

"These facilities at Aplins Park and Riverside Green Park enhance the incredible open spaces we already have here in Townsville," Cr Batkovic said.

"It was fantastic to be able to work with our local MP Janelle Poole to maximise the available funding, delivering two toilet blocks within the original funding allocation, demonstrating what two levels of Government working together looks like."
