* The Crisafulli Government has delivered on another key election commitment, providing $50,000 in funding to support two Brisbane community gardens. * The Chapel Hill Community Garden and Karana Downs and Surrounds Community Garden each received $25,000 for key infrastructure upgrades. * CrisafulliGovernment is supporting local volunteers, strengthen community connections and helping these community hubs continue to grow for years to come after a decade of decline under Labor.

The Crisafulli Government has delivered on a key election commitment to support two Brisbane community gardens, with $50,000 in funding for projects that will strengthen community connections and create lasting local benefits.

The Chapel Hill Community Garden and the Karana Downs and Surrounds Community Garden each received $25,000 to upgrade key infrastructure, helping volunteers continue their valuable work bringing residents together through shared green spaces.

During Labor's decade of decline, Queensland community groups were asked to do more with less funding and support.

The Crisafulli Government is turning this around by delivering the practical support that helps local organisations thrive and strengthens the communities they serve.

At the Green Hill Reservoir in Chapel Hill, funding has delivered a new shed, compost bays, raised garden beds and an irrigation system, improving the garden's capacity to support volunteers and visitors.

At Burrun Park in Karana Downs, funding has supported the construction of a carport and adjoining water tank, along with a new irrigation system, enhancing the community garden hub and helping secure its future growth.

The projects form part of the Crisafulli Government's commitment to delivering on election promisesand investing in local initiatives that strengthen community connections, support volunteers and create more vibrant neighbourhoods across Queensland.

Minister for Local Government and Water Ann Leahy said the funding was helping Queensland community groups grow stronger and enhance local connections.

"The Crisafulli Government is delivering on our election commitments and investing in the community organisations that bring people together," Minister Leahy said.

"From new garden beds and irrigation systems to vital infrastructure upgrades, these projects will help local volunteers continue creating welcoming spaces that benefit their communities for years to come."

Member for Moggill Dr Christian Rowan said he was proud to have secured the funding commitment for both local community gardens.

"I promised to advocate for funding to support these fantastic community gardens, and I'm pleased to see these upgrades now complete and being enjoyed by local residents," Dr Rowan said.

"The Chapel Hill and Karana Downs community gardens play an important role in bringing people together, promoting healthy lifestyles and strengthening community connections, which is why I fought to secure this investment for our local area."

Kevin Ferguson from the Karana Downs Community Garden Hub Inc. said the grant supported the work of the community group now and expansions in the future.

"Thanks to the CrisafulliGovernment funding, we've been able to construct a safe sheltered workspace for volunteers working at the community garden, a welcoming hub for community activities and learning," Mr Ferguson said.

"The facility also supports future gardening and compositing workshops and includes a dedicated Indigenous plants area, strengthening community connections whilst promoting sustainable and culturally significant practices.

"Thank you to the CrisafulliGovernment for the $25,000 contribution to our community garden."

Mish Burkett from Chapel Hill Community Garden said the organisation was thrilled with support from the State Government and already has lots of plans in place.

"To receive the State Government funding means so much to this little community," Ms Burkett said.
