A 33-year-oldTurnerman has been charged after allegedly assaulting his partner onthe weekend.
About 12pm on Sunday (1 February 2026), the man and his partner were atherresidence in Turner when the man became aggressive.
He allegedly grabbed herbytheneckand hair,punched her multiple times on her upperbodyand pushed herinto a wall and table.
The womansought medical treatment for her injuries and yesterdayafternoon(Thursday, 5 February 2026)the incident was reported to police.
Last night, policeattended a residence inWatsonand placed the33-year-oldman under arrest.
He has been charged with aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm and two counts of aggravated common assault. He is expected to face the ACT Magistrates Court today(Friday, 6 February2026).
