Belconnen, ACT, Jan. 7 -- ACT Policing issued the following media release:
A33-year-old Whitlam man will face the ACTMagistratesCourt today after being charged with multiple historical sexualassault offences.
In February (2025) police received a report from a womanregardingalleged multiple sexual assaults and acts of indecency by her ex-partner.
The alleged offending occurred between 2007 and 2016.
Following anextensiveinvestigation bytheSexual Assault and Child Abuse Team,officers attended the man's address in Whitlamyesterday (Tuesday 6 January 2026)and placedhim under arrest.
He is scheduled to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today (Wednesday 7 January 2026) charged withthree counts ofrecklesssexual intercourse without consentand three counts of acts of indecency.
Police are urging any victims of sexual assaultto report these criminal activities.
