CANBERRA, ACT, March 11 -- Australian Federal Police issued the following media release:

ASudan-born man is set to appear beforeCampbelltownLocalCourt today (11March,2026) charged with allegedlyfailing to complywith his visa-mandated curfew conditions.

The AFP charged the man,31,yesterday (10March,2026), after hewaslocatedinSydney, NSW.

It will be alleged the man breachedacondition of his Commonwealth visabyfailing to observehisresidential curfew obligations.

The man has been charged with:

* One count offailing to complywith a curfew condition, contrary to section 76C(1) of theMigration Act 1958(Cth).

The offence carries a maximum penalty of five years' imprisonment and/or a $99,000 fine.
