BRISBANE, Queensland, Dec. 25 -- Queensland Police Service issued the following media release:
Police have charged three people following an alleged break and enter with violence incident yesterday, December 24.
It will be alleged three males armed with a firearm, a machete and a hammer, attended an address in Arundel around 4.45am in a stolen BMW vehicle.
It will be further alleged they stole property from the address before leaving the scene in the stolen BMW and an Audi SUV stolen from the property.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
Gold Coast police and specialist police located and arrested the three males just before 11am at a Worley Drive address in Gilston, following an extensive search.
A 17-year-old Southport boy, a 36-year-old Worongary man, and a 37-year-old Nerang man have all been charged with three counts each of armed robbery, one count each of enter dwelling with intent (burglary) whilst armed, and two counts each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
The boy is due before Southport Childrens Court on December 26.
The two men are due before Southport Magistrates Court on December 26.
